FLOWER FARM

the image says the words "rooted here" and rooted is in block letters with flowers woven into the lettering.

Every flower farm has its own rhythm, its own heartbeat.

Ours comes from the people (and pups) who show up each day with muddy boots, full hearts, and a shared love for this little patch of East Texas soil.

We’re not a big crew — just a small handful of humans and two very opinionated dogs — but together we make this place hum.

Each of us brings something different to the table: a steady hand, a spark of joy, a calm presence, or a knack for fixing whatever decided to break today.

We’re learning, building, laughing, and growing right alongside the flowers. And while the farm itself is still a work‑in‑progress,

the folks who tend it are all in — showing up sunrise after sunrise, doing the kind of quiet, meaningful work that makes beauty possible.

Meet the hearts behind Southern Charm Flower Farm: the dreamer, the legend, the sunshine, and the fixer.

Amanda, the flower farmer, with her labrador Daisy standing very close.
A golden lab named Daisy looking at the camera. Her face is white from age and she has soulful eyes.
The image is a muddy yellow lab with a funny expression - she knows she is in trouble but does not care.
A smiling man in a cowboy hat. He's a flower farm because it was his wife's dream.

Amanda

For years, I worked as a surgical RN—moving fast, caring hard, and standing beside people in their hardest moments. After a Lupus diagnosis, life asked me to slow down and listen a little closer to what I needed.

In that quiet, I found myself drawn to mornings shaped by birdsong instead of beeping monitors… to work that moved with the daylight… to a life rooted in soil, sunshine, and the steady rhythm of the seasons.

This little flower farm began as a long, deep exhale. I didn’t set out to start a business—I set out to heal what had worn thin. Somewhere between the planting and the tending, I found a different kind of medicine.

Out here in the Winnsboro pines, the flowers have become my teachers—each with its own stubborn streak and its own gentle way of showing up when it’s ready. They’ve given me grounding, grit, and a quiet joy I’m grateful to share.

I share these blooms because they’ve been good to me—steady, grounding, generous in their own humble way.  And I’ve always believed that good things are meant to be shared.

So when you take home blooms from our farm, my hope is simple: that you feel a touch of the calm, the comfort, and the everyday magic this land has given me. A handful of beauty. A breath of peace. A reminder that slowing down can heal more than you think.

THE DREAMER

The image depicts a simple line art butterfly.
The image is of a yellow lab sitting in the front seat of a truck. It looks like she is driving.

Daisy

Daisy has become something of a local celebrity around Winnsboro.

If you’ve ever strolled past a parked truck and spotted a very serious Labrador “driving,” that was her — sitting tall in the front seat like she owns the place.

(And between us, she absolutely does.)

Folks have snapped more photos of her than we could ever count, and she soaks up every bit of the attention with dignified pride.

Around the farm, Daisy is our steady soul. The elder stateswoman. She patrols the fields with quiet confidence and a nose that can sniff out a biscuit from a country mile away.

She keeps an eye on everything — the blooms, the bunnies, and especially Lu — making sure the whole operation stays in line.

She’s loyal, thoughtful, and just dramatic enough to keep things interesting.

Daisy reminds us every day to slow down, take the best seat in the truck, and enjoy the view.

THE LEGEND

We’re still building, still learning, still growing—but that’s the
beauty of this place.

    Southern Charm Flower Farm isn’t a finished picture;
    it’s a living story
rooted in faith, grit, and the belief
that even the smallest seeds can grow into something wonderful.

Lulu

THE SUNSHINE

Luna (Lulu, Lu, Looney) is pure sunshine wrapped in fur — the kind of dog who believes every person is her brand‑new best friend and every mole hole is a mystery absolutely worth investigating.

And the smiles… mercy. This dog doesn’t just wag her tail; she beams.  Full, wide, unmistakably genuine doggy grins that could brighten even the gloomiest East Texas morning.

She’s our resident joy‑maker, unofficial greeter, and occasional growler whenever the wind decides to blow a little funny.

If it moves, she’s chasing it.

If it squeaks, she’s pouncing on it.

If it smells the slightest bit interesting, her nose is already buried in it.

Luna brings a burst of energy to the farm — bounding through wildflowers, stirring up laughter, and reminding us that curiosity is its own kind of wonder. She zooms, she explores, she keeps the whole place lively.

And when she’s not on patrol, you’ll

find her running full‑speed in her sleep, dreaming of squirrels, sunshine, and whatever grand adventure tomorrow might bring.

Daisy

(UNINTENTIONAL) WINNSBORO CELEBRITY

I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve been stopped in the grocery store parking lot by folks snapping pictures of Daisy “driving.”

It gets me every single time—her sitting tall in the front seat, looking straight ahead like she’s got errands to run and a full day’s worth of business to handle.

If you’ve ever caught Daisy behind the wheel, I’d love to see it.

As a thank‑you, I’ll gift you a hand‑tied seasonal bouquet—just a little something from the farm.

Consider it our way of celebrating the farm dog who’s downright convinced she runs this place, no matter where 'this place" might be!

Rob

Rob was born with Lone Star pride in his veins and a deep appreciation for wide‑open skies, good brisket, and doing things the right way — the long way, if that’s what it takes.

He’s the kind of Texan who can fix just about anything, thinks three steps ahead, and somehow stays calm when everyone else (read: Amanda) is losing their cool.

By day, he wrangles technology for a living — solving problems no one else can quite explain.  But by weekend, and often against his better judgment, he’s knee‑deep in flower‑farm life. Hauling compost. Repairing irrigation lines. Building whatever contraption Amanda dreamed up sometime around midnight.

He didn’t exactly sign up for a life filled with flowers.  What started as “helping out a little” has turned into a role he fills with determination, colorful commentary, and a surprising amount of heart.

Rob is the muscle behind the magic — the one who keeps the Wi‑Fi humming, the fences standing, the tools running, and the wheelbarrow wheels actually turning.

And though he may grumble now and then, he’s got a soft spot for the quiet moments: the golden‑hour fields, the sound of wind moving through the pines, the satisfaction of building something real with his own two hands.

So yes — he’s a reluctant flower farmer.
But around here, he’s also pretty indispensable.
